Kids Care Rehab Centre is a unit of Kids Rehab Charitable Trust. At Kids Care Rehab Centre (KCRC), The mission of Kids Care Rehab Centre is to "bring hope in life" by serving children and adults through dedicated therapy and training services.

Kids Care Rehab Centre began its therapy and training services in March 2009. Over the span of 16 years, we have honed our expertise in delivering comprehensive therapy services tailored to meet the diverse needs of both children and adults, fostering holistic development and enhanced well-being across all age groups.

Dr R. Radha Balachandar, PhD is the Director of Kids Care Rehab Centre in Chennai, India. She is the founder of the BRAIN2ACT Program. She is the author of “Understanding Autism – A Guide to Parents” and a Tamil book named “Autism oru 
Paarvai”
and another tamil book named “Maram Yerum Meen”, a book on ADHD and 
Learning Disability.

 

She is a Paediatric Physiotherapist, Psychological Counselor, and specialized in Early Intervention, Sensory Integration, Behavior Therapy, Child developmental therapies, Functional Training, Oral Motor Therapy, Wellness training, Rhythmic Movement Training, NLP Practitioner, Remedial Therapy, Social skills Training, Reiki Acupuncture, and Brain Gym practitioner with more than twenty years of experience.


She received an award from the Governor of Tamilnadu Thiru. R N Ravi at Raj Bhavan as an ambassador for promoting mental health for the advancement of mental health awareness and support.


She exclusively provided training programs on developmental disorders, autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities organised by the Minister of Health, Kingdom of Eswatini, for Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists. She also conducted Autism Parent Training Program at Kingdom of Eswatini.


She was awarded the “Distinguished Clinician Award” at the Indian  Physiotherapy association conference in Chennai in March 2020. She was awarded the 'Best Physiotherapist Award' at the International Physiotherapy Conference 'THERACON19'.
She was awarded ‘Best Pediatric Physiotherapist’ in the ‘Medical Excellence 
Award organised by the World Tamil Chamber of Commerce.

 

She presented research papers at various international conferences and seminars. She conducted various webinars & online training programs for Children, Teachers, Health Professionals and Parents.She has been providing awareness about Parenting, child development, Autism, ADHD, Learning disabilities and the importance of ‘Early Intervention’ to the public through various health programs on leading television channels like Sun TV, Jaya TV,Makkal TV, WIN TV & Peppers TV. The daily recorded programs, as well as monthly LIVE interactive programs, are being telecasted currently.


She developed and implemented the “BRAIN2ACT” program for children to enhance Academic performance, Cognitive skills, Emotional Intelligence, Attention, Memory, Handwriting, Spelling, Co-Ordination skills and many more.


She has conducted national and international workshops for various target groups 
such as parents, children, health care professionals, school headmasters & teachers in 
India and Malaysia. She addressed more than 100 government school teachers on the 
topic of early identification and intervention for ADHD and learning disabilities on 
September 2023.

 

She presented a one-day seminar on recent physiotherapy techniques for cerebral palsy at DR MGR MEDICAL UNIVERSITY. And also, conducted one-day workshop on the topic “autism spectrum disorder”.She lectured to the teachers and parents of Little Flower Convent for the Blind about “Children with Autism and Blindness”.


She worked as a Guest Lecturer and addressed M.Sc. (Counseling and Psychotherapy) students at Tamil Nadu Open University about “Childhood Disorders‟, “Adolescence and Puberty” and “Developmental Psychology‟ (2015-2020).


Dr R. Radha has extensive experience working in different settings with children 
from birth through adolescence with a variety of childhood conditions including Learning Disorder, neurological impairments, development delay, Cerebral Palsy, Scoliosis, Club Foot, Muscular Dystrophy, Down syndrome, Autism, ADHD, paediatrics conditions & parenting.

 

She worked as a Pediatric Physiotherapist in Malaysia. She earned a PhD in ‘Movement-Based Intervention for Kids with Children with Autism, Learning Difficulty (LD), & ADHD’ at the University of Madras.

 

She pursued a Master of Physiotherapy with a specialization in Paediatric Neurology an M.Sc in Psychology and PG Diploma in Psychological Counselling. She completed PG diploma course in “Mahayogam in Thirumanthiram”. She trained and shared her experiences with many psychology students who came to the center for postings
